Lying, Thieves In Sales Department
I spoke with the Business Manager about purchasing a Genesis Extended Warranty for my Genesis GV80. Ironically, this Genesis Dealership does not sell Genesis Extended warranties! Instead, the Business Manager sold me a different warranty plan for a different vehicle (a Hyundai) then lied and said it's the same plan that is accepted at any Genesis dealership. However, I called 2 Genesis dealerships out-of-state and they both refused to take that Hyundai plan and urged me to buy a Genesis Extended warranty plan for my Genesis GV80. Luckily, the Hyundai plan provides full refunds for cancellations made within the first 60 days, so on day 5, I returned to Genesis of Brunswick and requested a full refund. The lying Business Manager gave me the runaround and first put the wrong amount of the refund on the cancellation form in his attempt to try and give me a partial refund. I demanded that he strike that amount off the cancellation form and add the full amount I paid for the Hyundai plan on the cancellation form. Then he lied and said he would submit my refund request to Accounting the next day but he never did so because I never got my money back! Then the lying Business Manager brought the Owner of Genesis of Brunswick into the office and the Owner sided with the Business Manager condoned the Business Manager's lies and deceit in selling the Hyundai plan to me!
