fishers new owners are only about making money at the customers expense
all of the reviews on fisher transmission are from 2012 or 2010 which are all favorable reviews which i agree with. back then pete and russ owned fisher transmission and they did great work at a fair price.
20the new owners today 2023 are thieves. they are only interested in making money at the customer expense, i have a 1966 chevy c10 p.ckup truck which is a very simple machine by todays sta.ndards. i brought my truck to fishers because my trans which is an aftermarket richmond 4 speed was locked up . the truck would not go forward or backward unless i pushed in the clutch. then the truck would roll. when i brought the truck there i told them to call me and let me know what the problem was because i could buy a brand new trans for 2100 dollars. about a week later i called them and they told me there was a defect in the tailshaft housing and that they orderd a new tailshaft housing. well come to find out they replaced my tailshaft housing with a used part and charged me 2600 dollars . when i asked about the price they told me it was about the labor cost. i thought that was bs because if you take four bolts out of the belhousing and two bolts to disconnect the shifter linkage and four bolts to take the driveshaft out the whole trans comes out. then when you put the trans on the bench its four nuts to take the tailshaft off. so they replaced the tailshaft with a used part and a new tailshaft seal and put it back together and charged me 2600 dollars. i could have bought a brand new trans for 2100 dollars. a plumber friend of mine brought his truck to fisher and they charged him 1000 dollars over the price he was quoted over the phone. when he called to see if his truck was done they said yes come and pick it up. when he got there the bill was 1000 dollars more than what they told him
