extremely unprofessional owner deplorable behavior
Let me start by saying I have been in business for 40 years. I have had many interactions with mechanics and service people but nobody as deliberately deceitful,
manipulative, unclear and downright untruthful about the process of the job I needed than Pierre was. There are parts and labor. Pretty straight forward but Pierre made this the most difficult process I've ever experienced. He has no shame. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. ZERO STARS.

I brought my car into Excel for an issue with the front right air strut. I was in between a rock and a hard place as I am in Falmouth for cancer treatment and Pierre told me it was not drivable. He explained what needed to be done and it was reasonable. Replace the air strut on the right with the issue and the one on the left. As he said "you wouldn't change one sneaker." The cost was discussed and agreed to and then what turned out to be a long arduous process began.

The next day I spoke to him he said everything was going as planned as well it should. A 4 hour job with 2 strut replacements should go smoothly. But, the next day he said the compressor was broken. Keep in mind the 1 compressor runs all 4 struts and the other 3 struts operated fine so it couldn't be the compressor it was the strut. Then the next day it was an "actuator" issue and then he just pulled the plug on the job all together. It was suggested to me to replace all for air struts with regular struts an easier job and about the same money. When I look back at this stage I should of had the car towed. You could sense the anger in Pierre's voice. You know when a mechanic or service person is frustrated and talks down to you. The parts will be in an Monday and you'll have the car on Monday afternoon. Then the parts will be in on Tuesday then Wednesday... You can see where this is going. I begged him. "I need the car for cancer treatments. So on Thursday I asked for my car back. He said no unless, I paid him for the parts. He also said the parts were not returnable (that's a lie). Mind you there is no contract in place either so he should just give me the car back and he wouldn't. . So I called my Vineyard mechanic, my lawyer then the Falmouth Police. The Police called him and he said "he can't pick up the car it's all taken apart." Well that's funny because I drove by while on the phone with the police and there was my car. He lied to the Police on tape. So I called Pierre back and begged him again to give me my car back. Finally after having gone through days of frustration he called me and said pick the car up on Friday. He said you don't owe me anything. Wow what a relief .

Not so fast here's where it gets even more sad. When I showed up my car had a cracked windshield and I just had it done at Safelight. The inside was a mess with grease everywhere AND all 4 struts were to the ground. The compressor is gone. You know the compressor that was working fine when I brought it in. So I went to the office to tell Pierre about the windshield and he ordered me out of the office. He told me "I record everything in here so you better leave now" He gave no explanation for the damage at all just ordered me out in a threatening manner then threatened my 79 year old friend. So I guess this is what happens when you call the Police on Pierre. He retaliates and your car is worse off then when you left it. Well this should go over well with small claims court, the license board, the better business bureau and the rest of social media. Folks there are bad people out there and Pierre at Excel Auto is one of them. We should not let them lie, cheat and steal from us. If he would drag me, a cancer patient through the mud and screw me over, believe me it can happen to you.

Posted crack windshield. Grease everywhere. All 4 struts disabled.

PS A great tip when dealing with someone who is opening screwing you is to have your cell phone video running both live and on the phone.
