My car has approximately 179,000 miles on it when it started running louder as if it were running strictly off the gas engine. Based on internet research I took in my 2009 Prius to have a new hybrid battery installed as it would be cheaper than purchasing a new car. Prior to picking up the battery from the dealership, a full inspection of my car’s operating components was performed to identify if any other issues existed that needed to be weighed in before making the decision to proceed. They found wheel bearings were bad so I had them repaired. In checking the battery and associated fan, they found my car’s hybrid battery was functioning at 13.6 which is above the expected 12.9. They saved me from making an unnecessary repair for which I am grateful.
Like all reputable businesses, they receive a lot of business and may currently be working shorthanded as I believe I saw a help wanted sign posted in the window. Therefore, you will need to be patient. I did make a few follow-up calls and a drop in visit to check in on the status/timing when arranging to bring my car in. They were apologetic and respectful each time and I could see they were working hard and as fast as they could.
All said and done, it was well worth the wait as I am extremely satisfied with the service and care received. I will definitely be a returning customer should my car need future servicing.
