SO. After leaving the review above they contacted me and ask me to take down the review. If I do I would receive a free oil change on my 2018 Sierra 2500 diesel truck. I agreed. I went back to have my oil/filter changed on Monday 23 Feb. Afterward, I drove home and parked the truck. Today, 27 Feb. I had to go out to meet friends. As I was driving home an alert started to chime telling me I had no oil pressure and immediately stop the vehicle. I looked at the oil pressure indicator and sure enough pressure was at ZERO. Now I am faced with a vehicle with no oil in it so I cannot drive it. PLUS, I bought the oil from an online vendor which cost me over $120.00. I’ll have to have the truck towed so I can get it fixed. I believe this was intentional since it was a free service. AS I SAID PREVIOUSLY, DO NOT HAVE THEM WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE. EVEN THE 12TH AVENUE SHOP IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY. GO ELSEWHERE PROPLE.
UPDATE: After having my 2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD diesel truck towed to a reputable mechanic to fix the BS written above, here is what they found.
The filter gasket was none existent. It could have blown off due to the oil pressure. Not sure but, it remains to say that the filter was not installed properly causing the oil to pour out. Second, the drain plug was not tight. I believe the drain plug is supposed to be torqued to a certain value. Not so here. How does a certified mechanic screw up a simple oil change? If you value your vehicle never take it to these people.
