Nothing but pleasurable!!!
I had my first experience with East Coast Automotive in October of 2025. It was highly recommended to me from Paul at AAMCO Transmission in Portsmouth, NH. Paul was a true angel!!! His highly trained mechanics were able to remove all of my many engine codes, got my car up and running and after some convincing, Paul got me comfortable enough after leaving my car with him for a week to take it to East Coast Automotive.

You see my car stopped suddenly on 495. I was in the middle lane and only by short spurts was I able to get off the major highway. I was near Salem, NH and it took me over four hours to return home to Exeter, NH. This was the single most frightening experience in traffic that I ever have had. I had my niece in the back seat and my partner in the front. AAA was not available at the time.

My car went to AAMCO first because it kept showing a transmission failure message. However, Paul and his men found none and highly recommended me to take my car to Mark at East Coast Automotive for further testing of possible electrical issues. I was still petrified to drive my car. However, I went.

TJ was my initial contact person at East Coast Automotive. He like Paul went above and beyond with helping me to navigate plans to figure out what might be my cars problem. I met Dillan/ Dillon at the front desk and he was equally as nice, kind, knowledgeable and welcoming as TJ. They make a great front desk example of the kind of people East Coast hires. I didn’t meet any of the mechanics but from what TJ and Dillan expressed about them I knew I was in good hands.

After extensive investigating at EC my car showed no apparent reason for the hiccup that I experienced on 495. However, the detailed attention paid from the mechanics did encounter some findings that I am now addressing with East Coast Automotive.

We all want highly trained people taking care of our automotive needs. However, sometimes people at the front desk, the mechanics and even the owners go above and beyond and help take care of the person as well as the car. That is when you recognize that although AAMCO and East Coast Automotive are in business to make money and rightfully so they also care about the people who are paying them, their customers. I will never forget the kindness paid to me during a really frightening time.

Thank you, owners, for hiring exemplary employees!!! Front desk personnel who are knowledgeable and kind, mechanics who know their trade and do it well. And also to you as owners for being available and on the front lines accessible to we customers as well.

I am ever grateful and will continue to be a returning customer as needed. I highly recommend the people who are working at AAMCO and East Coast Automotive.
