I have a pre approval ready to buy the car check In hand from a military friendly bank, and the finance team here will not sell me the car with out running my credit…..I have no idea why if someone had check or cash at hand and everything is legit and can be verified why does my credit still have to get ran… I was told this is “protocol with all dealerships”…. I have bought several cars in my life time, local and from a far and NEVER ran into this issue… yes I have had people still try to run my credit but once I verify everything with the bank or hell I don’t even mine waiting till everything is cleared with the bank to receive the car. Most places would want to sell the car but I guess not this place because they are selling loans and not cars. Lastly yes I know you can pull someone credit several times in the month for the same thing with out credit being affected…
Number 1.. even within the month your credit can get pulled enough times that it will affect your credit so don’t let them say they can pull it unlimited times that’s a lie…
Number 2… I am ex military, and if the person at finance was ex military like he said he was he should know giving out PII like your social unnecessary amount of times is definitely something we don’t do.
So yea wasted my time and now must be on the search again thanks…
