Overcharge
Charged $100 for “diagnostics” to tell me I needed a new transmission- which I already knew. Then quoted me $5800 for a new transmission. Taking it elsewhere. There are many transmission places in Chattanooga that are just as good and not as expensive!

Quality workmanship, professional and courteous employees, with great customer service!
They always do what they promise and keep you updated on the status of the work being done. Casey and the other employees I have met are courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. The waiting area and office are always clean and comfortable. Always a great experience! I would highly recommend them!

Casey was so polite and helpful. He made us feel better because we had broken down on the interstate. I wish it hadn’t cost so much but we were treated very respectfully.

Explanations of problem areas easily understood by a non-car person! No pressure to do repairs. Allow customer time to make decisions that are in their comfort zone.

Warranty
Turns out trans was fine, but said I had a misfire. Offered to diagnose but it would be next day. It was my only ride so I had to pick it up without being fixed. Also asked for estimate on fixing heat. He said he would call back and never did.

They are honest and very skilled and professional
This is the only place I will take any of my vehicles and I travel for a living and even have a residence out of town but understand that I have been swindled by other so called “ Honest Auto Repair Shops “ and have nothing but positive reviews for this business. Each time my take one of my vehicles in, I am always at a lost as to what is going on with it and each time the repairs are much less than what I had imagined. They have always been honest with me and have saved me thousands which may sound like an exaggeration but it is anything but exaggeration. The one example that will always come to mind is regarding my VW bug that I had towed to East Ridge Transmission after another shop had charged me more than a thousand dollars to fix the radiator that they busted when they towed it. That same shop told me that the brain in my car had suddenly gone bad because although it was running when they towed it, it would no longer run. East Ridge Transmission allowed me to tow the car to them and had it running the very next day. Not only had they fixed the car to where it would crank and run but they also hooked up things that the previous shop had unhooked. Turns out it was not the brain in my car which would have cost thousands but a fuse . This fuse cost about 89 cents. This is only one incident in which they could have taken advantage of my situation but as is their character, they did not. They even went above and beyond in repairing what I had no idea had been messed up by the previous shop. Trust me when I say, the only thing missing from this shop are ? and wings for each of them. I thank God that there are still good honest people in this world. If want want the best and honest hard working skilled people taking care of your car, take it to East Ridge Transmission and Total Car Care. I guarantee you will go no place else after having your car serviced by them. ?Evalyn R.
