Took my car to get serviced told tech Ivan Velasco there is a technical service bulletin on the nhtsa website for this car that states there is a ignition issue due to defect in assembly. His diagnosis is the same thing I told him when I took it in. He said repairs are $1800 even though this issue is a defect that is documented on the nhtsa website. At the end of the day I took my car home and will look for another repair shop cause Ivan Velasco is a crook.

Crazy & Pathetic
I took my car in for a detail. When i picked it up it looked great until i got in the driver's seat. They had torn a 3 inch hole in the driver's seat and apparently thought we were dumb or blind as they didn't advise us of this just gave it back and hope we wouldn't say anything? Really? My service rep when to the video and photo evidence and sure enough there wasn't a rip. I was told they would solve the issue. The service manager never called until i chased her down. She apologized and said they would solve it. I could tell she didn't care at all. Just trying to get me off the phone. its a week later and i'm still waiting to hear from them. I expect more from them and will stay on them until this is handled

Very poor service
When car is taken for service, it is nearly impossible to get a call back if one has to contact the service department representative. Return calls may not happen for 24 to 48 hours.

Shockingly rude and humiliating experience
My personal experience with Mercedes-Benz Los Angeles has been the most harrowing, humiliating, and dehumanizing customer experience in my life, and sadly I say this without a single exaggeration.

I've honestly never been talked down to and verbally attacked like this and made to feel so helpless, insignificant, threatened, and bullied as a HUMAN BEING, let alone as a paying customer.

It all started when I drove in my car to be inspected for a sporadic starting issue. After viewing the diagnostic report, I decided not to perform the recommended fixes at the dealership. However, when I decided to pick it up, my car was completely dead, which was definitely not the condition in which I brought it. In fact, through their own admission, my car was running with no problems whatsoever until the day before I decided to pick it up.

Naturally, I was displeased. The bare minimum I expected was for me to drive out the very same car I drove in with. I consider that to be a very reasonable expectation for a customer who brought a vehicle in for a mere inspection.

How would you have reacted if you had to tow out a car, at your expense, that you drove in just for a mere inspection?

I consider myself to be a calm and reasonable person, so I first tried relaying my concern to the manager, her name was Veronica Contreras I believe.

Unfortunately she became hostile VERY QUICKLY and used a tone to talk down to me that I've never encountered in my 31 years of life. I do have a meek conciliatory demeanor, and I'm not an intimidating person at all, perhaps it gave her all the confidence and emboldenment she needed to be rude, brash, and belligerent with me.

She barked out a threat, quote-unquote: "YOUR CAR ALREADY HAD A PROBLEM WHEN YOU BROUGHT IT IN. WE WON'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT. YOU'LL HAVE PAY FOR YOUR OWN TOWING, OR IF YOU'RE STILL UNHAPPY WE'LL JUST RESELL YOUR CAR NOW!"

Truthfully I've never been spoken to in such a vehemently contemptuous tone in my life -- not my parent, teacher, or anyone else in my life. It was astonishing that someone of her sheer lack of professionalism and courtesy was allowed to go anywhere near a customer, much less become the "customer relationship manager" of this place.

I depend solely on my car to make a living, plus it was also a gift from a deceased family member, so it obviously had immense economic and sentimental value to me.

Regardless of right or wrong, and regardless of whether there's any negligence on their part that led to additional damage to my car, I think I can safely say that it was not an inappropriate way to communicate with another fellow human being... let alone a paying customer.

I'm not sure if I caught her on a bad day, or if my concern ruined her Saturday, but I was very distraught and traumatized after that experience, and it ruined my entire weekend.

It just wasn't right. You'd think I was a child murderer being excoriated by an angry mob or something, but in reality I merely enquired about the condition of my car and expressed my -- in my opinion -- perfectly-reasonable concerns.

I reached out to the General Manager, Tim Muzyka, and I've yet to hear back from him. Obviously I look forward to this issue being resolved as soon as possible so we can all move on.

I apologize if this has been a downer, but I feel a deep responsibility to make my voice heard and hopefully some customers will be aware of what kind of experience might potentially await them should they choose to take their business to Mercedes-Benz Los Angeles.

Beware and read before buying please
You should really listen to all those that rated this dealership with one star, I have no doubt, that just like me, if I could put no stars, I would have...These people are scammers...they sold me a CERTIFIED car that obviously had a very serious problem where I am having to breath and endure some toxic fumes from the vehicle for over a year, no one at this dealership cares, all they want is to make their quota and make money....Timothy, sales manager pretended to care one day after 14 months of going back and forth with no result, he called me and said that it is totally unacceptable for me drive that vehicle and that he would exchange it for me and would not let me drive this vehicle any longer, he set up an appointment with me, had me drive 75 miles round trip to change me vehicle, then when he could'nt find anything to match my vehicle, he tried selling me one to where I would pay $10000.00 more for a newer model, even as they are trying to rectify a situation, they try to get more money in their pockets...finally , he said, let me contact MBZ USA to see if they allow me to discount the newer car for you, a week later I call him back, he said it was out of his hands and it is MBZ USA handling the situation now...he completely washed his hands out it and took no responsibility, he did not even bother to call me himself to tell me that.
These people at this dealership are scammers and I am not sure how MBZ USA is allowing them to get away with this, they made me hate MBZ altogether and never want to own another one although it is the only car I have been used to for the last 18 years.
There are many other dealers out there, do not bother with this one if you do not want to be scammed and you want a dealership that does not sell you a lemon as a certified vehicle.

Had a special in the mail for a simple service
Called in to make sure it would apply to Mercedes
Drive to downtown la from Santa Monica and they wouldn’t honor it or make up for their mistake

TERRIBLE Customer Service
Last week I made a 10:00 am appointment to take my car in for its second service. I was told the service would take approximately 2 hours. I arrived on time and waited in line for 20 mins before I reached the concierge desk. Once there, I was told to go wait in the lobby and my service advisor would come to get me. After waiting another 30 mins in the lobby, I went back to the concierge desk to see what was going on. The service advisor finally came to get me (no apology for the delay) and took me into his cubicle. He then informed me that there was also a recall on my car (the second one in two years) and they would fix that as well. I asked again how long it would take and he told me the car would be ready around 4:00-5:00 pm. I don't work and needless to say, I was quite upset that I would now have to go back downtown during rush hour to pick up my car. At around 4:15 pm I called the dealership to check on the status of my car and was told that it would be another hour. At 5:15 pm, I called again and was told it was "almost finished." At that point, I requested an Uber pick up with the hope that my car would be ready by the time I got there. I arrived at the dealership around 6:00 pm and no one was at the concierge desk. I waited approximately 15 mins and then walked in to the offices where the service advisors have their cubicles. No one was around. I finally walked back out and found an employee who was moving cars around and asked if he could find my service advisor. He told me to go sit in his office. I waited another 20 mins and still no one came. I got up and walked around and finally found another service advisor who asked if I was being helped. I told him I had been waiting for quite some time and I was starting to get very angry. He offered to help and we finally completed the paperwork.

As a side note, when I took this car in for the first service, I was literally innundated with text messages, emails and surveys from multiple individuals asking how their service was. It got to the point where it was extremely annoying. This time, not a single text, email, nor survey. Gee, I wonder why??

Thankfully, I am only leasing this car and counting down the months (only 10 more to go!) until I can turn it in and go back to a BMW!! IMO, BMW puts out a far superior product and they treat their clients with respect.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES
This company ran a credit report on me to approve me for a car without my permission! I was interested in a car and the website said fill out info and a rep from the dealership would then call to go over everything and verify that I would like to be pre-approved for the car. I never received a phone call and they just went ahead a ran my credit. Highly disappointed! Then when I called to complain the first manager I spoke with even said someone didn't follow procedure and ran my credit without contacting me first, then when I was transferred to a higher manager to see how to resolve the issue I was told they didn't do anything wrong and then they hung up on me! Very Rude! I have 2 Mercedes and will never do business with this dealership!

Best Service!
I just got back from a service appointment and can't believe how easy and professional it was! I have dealt with a number of MB dealerships and Downtown LA Motors, especially Jerry D., has been the best experience I have had to date. I damaged a wheel on my car and Downtown had the wheel in stock and could get it done today. Jerry said he would get it done quickly, and before I knew it, my wheel was fixed, the car was washed, and I was on my way. I know where I will be bringing my car for service! Thanks again Jerry!

Have an older E-Class Coupe, which was rear-ended by a texter on the 405 during rush hour. Body damage was repaired but a couple of electronic issues remained, which the body shop could not handle. Car was taken to DTLA-Motors for an extended time due to parts ordering. I was given a brand new courtesy vehicle (11 miles) and regularly advised of progress by service adviser Barry Murphy. Picked up the car yesterday, super-clean with all issues resolved. Barry even handled the insurance claim, which I did not expect, but which was a great convenience due to a personally challenging schedule. What looked like a headache, another 'issue to deal with' in one's hectic life was taken away by Barry and DTLA M. Competence & ethics in job and invoicing are very visible. Folks from the greeters up to the facility's director Neal Goldman are friendly and personable. THANK YOU!

Wife was torn between a Lexus and MBZ. Late Friday evening drove the 5 miles just to look at the newer models with no intent to purchase before looking at the Lexus, as we have a 1999 MBZ. Was immediately greeted by Ola in the parking lot. Friendly, professional, and patient Ola listened to our plan and then asked us to wait as he retrieved a vehicle that might interest my wife. It did and the decision was made. We purchased a pre-owned (really brand new, only 21,000 miles) 2013 MBZ. Forget the excellent customer service, it was the warm hospitality and kindness displayed by all, but especially by Ola and Mike, the finance manager, which touched our heart and made this a truly memorable experience. Everyone stayed way beyond closing time to assist us. Selfless sacrifice for folks one does not know is not the norm today, but Ola and Mike did this for us. Much appreciated and thank you.

Gary Krboyan (Sales & Leasing Consultant)
First, let me say that I am a very busy man. I do not take time out of my schedule to write about someone doing what they get paid to do. With that said, Gary Krboyan went above and beyond the standards that have been linked to car salesmen.

I went to Mercedes Benz of Escondido to purchase a S550. I found a Dolomite Brown S550 that I really liked and gave the salesman $1K to hold it for me until after Veterans Day (three days). When I returned, the salesman said that someone had sold the car the day he had off. He saw the disappointment on my face and he knew that this could possibly turn into a heated situation so he decided to help me find another one and he did, which is amazing because this color is very rare and has to be special ordered.

This is where Gary Krboyan comes in. I called him from the Escondido dealership and explained to him what had transpired. He confirmed that they still had the car and because of the condition and low miles it would probably sell quickly. I informed him that I wanted the car but I worked in Coronado, which is 119 miles away, and I would probably only be able to communicate by phone. He informed me that he would work with me as long as I kept in touch but he could not make any promises because other salesmen would be trying to sell the care also. Here is what in my mind set him head-and-shoulders above other salesmen I have dealt with: Once I got off the phone with him we did everything through text. He sent me better pictures of the vehicle (they were even better than the ones that were posted on their website); we negotiated price (went back and forth a couple of times); and he took my information for the credit check. This all took place in a matter of seven days. I finally got a day off and went to see the car…and he was off that day…but he left instructions with his assistant, Mr. Omar, and we went over things that I did not go over with Gary Krboyan. Two days later I met Gary Krboyan and purchased my Dolomite Brown S550.

Gary Krboyan did an outstanding job without promising me anything. He trusted that I was not wasting his time and I did likewise. We completed almost everything by text. I am very happy with my purchase and I will definitely be passing out his cards to everyone that I know.
