AT ALL COST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. IMPORTANT FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS, PLEASE READ!
On Saturday, 5/08/2021 my boyfriend & I went into Mackenzie Ford in Hillsboro, where we worked with sales team member Dan Clark. (Also, avoid this salesman at all cost.) Dan, my boyfriend & I all hopped in a new Ford Explorer and went for a spin. When we arrived back @ the dealership Dan insisted that my boyfriend & I go test drive the car on our own. I jokingly tossed Dan my keys (Audi Q5) “for collateral” because he hadn’t asked for my drivers license, - my BIGGEST mistake.
We were gone for about 15 minutes. When we returned Dan then asked to make a copy of my drivers license, and we were sat in a corner of the dealership by ourselves. After about 10 minutes of waiting to be helped, I saw my Audi driving across the parking lot... immediately my boyfriend & I were of question as we NEVER gave anyone permission to enter my vehicle, let alone get in it and drive it into their garage... of course I play this off as, “ok... maybe their inspecting it just in case we trade it in..?” Though at this time we had made no indication of trading or purchasing a vehicle that day. My boyfriend was much more alarmed and concerned why anyone felt it was ever okay for them to get inside my car when this was Never, not once discussed or okay’d by us. We grew of more question, concern & uncomfortable & came to the conclusion we were not going to buy from this (sketchy) dealership, and left.
Skip forward to Sunday (not even 24 HOURS LATER) I was notified by my bank that a check that I allegedly wrote was accepted and withdrawn from my account... WAIT one minute.. I only have ONE check.. I do not own a check book.. I had a SINGLE check that I had printed from my bank about a week prior to visiting Mackenzie Ford because my boyfriend and I are in the process of making offers on houses and one of us had to basically keep a check on us at all times just in case an offer was accepted so we could swiftly write out a check with Ernest money. This check was folded in half, at the bottom of my center console.. (was this an ideal place to keep a check, no, but only my boyfriend and I have access to my car and I had only had the check for a about one week)... then MYSTERIOUSLY on Sunday, ONE day after visiting Mackenzie Ford, my only check was written out to a man who works for National Title & Appraisal with my FORGED signature and withdrawn from my account. HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS GONE FROM MY ACCOUNT. Mysteriously & of course only, ‘allegedly’ after visiting Mackenzie Ford. While filing my police report the officer asked me, “ is there anything else missing from you car?” Immediately I go to my car to find a ring, given to me by my grandmother when I beat Brain Cancer a few years back, gone.. I won’t bore you with anymore details, if you’ve made it this far into what happened allegedly after leaving MacKenzie Ford, you will think again before ever going to this dealership.

Never had a bad experience here.
The sales person (Juan) was so nice. Very close to being a personal friend. We've bought 3 vehicles from this dealer and were treated like gold in all cases. The service department has always taken care of us from oil changes to recalls. The service manager (Leeann) is just a wonderful person to deal with in a customer setting where not everyone that comes in is happy to be there. I have always been taken care of and never been run over or pushed aside to meet other customers demands. Pretty impressive dealership considering the other dealerships I've had to deal with in my past years. I'd give them a 10 star rating if it went that high.

Service department: AWESOME JOB!!! Asmaa Great people skills, you made me feel as if we've known each other for years! You acknowledged all of my concerns and followed through. Manny the Mechanic, you are awesome at your job! Above and beyond as well as knowledge ?. I have been to many Ford dealerships across the country and he was able to fix a radio issue i have had addressed by 2 other dealerships in a matter of moments, like it was nothing! The 2 of you make me want to drive all the way here for any other future problems because I know whatever it may be you will figure it out!! Thank you.

One bad apple
We've been taking our cars to Dicks for service for nearly 20 years. Overall the experience has been positive. Lee Ann has always been great. She's honest and extremely professional. Benito and Josh have also been good to work with. In addition to being long time service customers, we bought a truck from Dicks a couple of years ago. Dan was very helpful, and we're happy with the truck. Still, next time I buy I'll go back to Carmax, where everything is up front and you don't feel like you need to have a contract lawyer present when you sign paperwork. For example, one document was for a $600 protectant charge which was characterized as some kind of warranty on the exterior. But it turns out Dicks is just passing on a charge for a protectant they apply so cars can be left outside on the lot in the weather. Purchaser should not have to pay for that. They did the same thing to my son-in-law when he bought his truck. So if you buy from Dicks, be careful what you sign.

I recently had my car in for service on a Saturday. The service writer said to be there by 5 to pick it up. I got there between 4:50 and 4:55, but service was already closed. I tried to get help from someone in sales to pay, and get my key. A couple of people tried to find someone in service, but everyone had left. When I asked to talk to a manager a guy came over and I could see on his face that he was really bothered to have been pulled away from whatever he was doing. When I told him service had closed early and I wanted to get my car, he just said "I can't help you" and he turned his back on me and walked away. I called BS and we had a couple more words, but the bottom line is that he clearly had no interest in helping me or in trying to be nice about it.

I had a spare key so I took my car. I settled my bill and picked up my key on Monday.

Service should stay open until the posted closing time, and if there is some valid reason for them to close early then Dicks should make sure customers can still pick up their vehicles if they arrive during posted hours. As for the manager I had words with - his name was Ken - he was just as smug and rude as he could be. It is because of him that I'm writing a few more of these reviews.

I am so beyond disappointed and pissed off. Almost two months passed after purchase and we added a hitch receiver to our loan. We had to contact them to get the hitch and then, they forgot to order it.... they said the ordered it and we heard nothing. Called again about it... they said it was in... by this time , I am mad because we missed many sunny biking opportunities and we missed Reach The Beach this year with our daughter bc nothing to haul our bikes with. I told them if they can’t get it done this weekend, we want the money refunded ... of course, it’ll have gone back to the bank. But NBD... told them we’d rather to go UHAUL and get it done in a timely manner. They said, we can squeeze you in.. drop it off. I said , “ok but it’s a huge inconvenience since my partner goes in at 0500...”. I rode my motorcycle in while my wife took the other car. It’s portland so it rained that day. I called the dealership while at work at 1400 and they said the wiring was complicated and it should be done by 1700. Around 1600 we contacted the dealership again, and they said the wiring was complicated so 1730 it’ll be ready. So it’s 1730 and we drive to the dealership believing it would be completed as we told them we needed to be home to receive our daughter from the other parent. Of course, the car wasn’t ready !!!! They were like can you come back later? We sad NO.. you had our car all day. Again, they said the wiring was so complicated . So a few things come to mind... 1). They are lying and have simply fucked of the day with little care about the inconvenience they have caused... 2). The technicians are morons that it’s taking them all day to figure how to do the hitch receiver wiring ... which by the way, greatly concerns me as to the state I will get my vehicle back in... will there be issues down the road since they don’t know how to do the hitch receiver wiring in the Escape??? Will there be electrical issue down the road bc they are trying to figure it out??? At this point and time, I believe YES... I have absolutely ZERO faith in their abilities at this time. So I caution you ... do not allow them to do mechanical work on your vehicle .... clearly they are a FORD dealership with mechanics that are clearly unfamiliar with FORD vehicles .... Am I to believe that we are the first escape owners to ask for a hitch receiver just to haul bicycles around... we clearly told them that and that we were not hauling cars or equipment. So no car back .... we have to wait for over the weekend. Absolutely crap ... horrible service and subpar technicians. If you can’t do wiring in a ford vehicle at a Ford dealership... why say you can do it! I believe in customer service and commitments ... something clearly lacking at that dealership... big thumbs down

Maybe they should use YouTube for help or ideas on installation of wiring harness... I know it’s not their brand but it should help them since it’s so difficult for the McKenzie Ford dealership technicians to do the wiring on our Ford Escape.

Update 6/20/2019

Since purchasing this vehicle, we got our vehicle back from the dealership to fix the hitch receiver that was purchased through the ordinal loan back 60+ days ago.., bolts are missing and panels not attached and left in the vehicle. Extremely unhappy!!! Now we just received a letter from USAA that they have not received the title of the vehicle and are looking at cancelling the loan due to Dick McKenzie Ford not sending the paperwork. My spouse is a veteran and sent Darwin the Dd14 paperwork that week of the vehicle purchase . Not only is USAA READY TO CANCEL LOAN... the dealership said they never received the paperwork ... NOT TRUe!!! This dealership is a scam and is either extremely incompetent or they don’t like veterans ... or is it because my spouse is a woman and gay. Either way, their practices are fraudulent...deceiving.., to my partner, to the state of Oregon dmv by not giving the proper title paperwork. BEWARE

Wheel repair
2 weeks ago had new tires installed and I discovered that there was damage to one wheel. I took it in and they are telling me that it is curb rash. I do not park next to a curb especially on the drivers side. We bought our last 2 new vehicles there and take both of them there for services. Until now they’ve always been very good.
But after this we will not go there again for service or buy a vehicle.
I’m a loyal Ford customer but will not return to this dealership. I’ll go elsewhere.

Daniel Weeks salesman
Daniel was a pleasure to work with. He was very helpful and showed that our wants and needs were met. I appreciated him not being pushy or overbearing. His sincerity coupled with his integrity was very refreshing. Not your typical car salesman. If he was to work for another dealership, I would purchase other vehicles from him. This 5 STAR review is for Daniel weeks only. I would not recommend Dick Mackenzie Ford to any friends or family members. If you deal with the management team, Their focus is to make money for the dealership at any cost. Their TV advertisements of full disclosure and transparency is Humorous. I have already informed friends of my negative experience with this dealership and I will continue to do so.

never go to this places they are assholes and they treat like you are stupied went their to see i can text drive a truck was out their intell 5pm my appoiment was round 2pm was their on time walk in and said was here to text drive a truck the person was going to send somebody to help nobby came went back in same response the person was going to help me out said they went home was out their with no help so would not by from this company they are assholes they said did not have enough people to help out well they need to figuare it out get people out their to help so i would not by from this places if you do you will be treated very stuiped and no help

Used Cars
Purchase a used auto in Feb. about 3 weeks later found out the it needed a head gasket they had in Jan service the vehicle , had the leak check out by TWO auto repair
shops and was inform that the vehicle head gasket has been leaking for a long time
it looks like they tried to hide the problem by power washing the engine.
