Didn't Do The Work
I wasn’t going to post this review because Tyson (the store manager at 6th Avenue) seems to be a nice enough guy and may not know what is going on, but I decided other potential customers need to know my experience. A couple of weeks ago I brought my car in to have an oil change and tire rotation for $49.99 (I had a coupon from Kroger). Tyson took my info and called me when the service was done. I picked up my car and drove home. When I got home, I checked my tires; they had NOT been rotated. How do I know? Several years ago a friend told me that before I take my car in for oil changes and tire rotations, I should check the cleanliness of the oil and mark my tires to identify their position. I did that before taking the car into Midas. I checked the oil. It looked clean and fresh, so I’m pretty sure the oil was changed, but was it synthetic or conventional? I don’t know. Was the oil filter changed? I don’t know. Because I KNOW the tires were not rotated, I now have my doubts about the type of oil they used and if they changed the oil filter. So now I have to take the car in to another service station to have the tires rotated (with open bays so I can see them being rotated). Why don’t I take it back to Midas and tell Tyson what happened? For the same reason I don’t send food back in a restaurant…I’m not sure what might be done to it by a pissed off employee. So the $20 I “saved” at Midas is going to be used at the other service station to rotate my tires. Obviously I will never take my car to this Midas garage again.
