People go to dealers for one reason – warranty. Once the warranty runs out, nobody wants to pay those high dealer labor rates and part costs. Off-warranty shops can be a fraction of the cost but, the level of service can be sketchy. Don’t replace those perfectly good brake pads just because an untrustworthy mechanic shop wants to upsell you. Don’t replace those rotors when they had another 20k miles left on them. Honesty, integrity, great work and fair prices
Took the daughter’s Honda Civic to Conejo Precision as she said her brakes were squealing. At 34,000 miles Jim and Tim examined them and said they were fine and wouldn’t need replacements for at least another 15,000 miles. The other issue was a dripping leak inside the driver side windshield pillar in heavy rains. Tim explained the sunroof is not waterproof when closed and water needs to drain through tubes in each front corner of the sunroof. They blew the tubes out with compressed air and then ran water through them to make sure debris was cleared. They charged nothing for that service!
There’s a reason I’ve been coming to them for 20 plus years!

Tim and crew really helped me out. My car broke down in Westlake and a friend recommended me to this shop. Tim took in my car and replaced my alternator and battery the next morning. Can’t thank him enough for being fair with cost and labor. I will definitely use his business again and will recommend his shop to people I know around the area. Thank you!

Very Impressed with Conejo Precision
I’m so excited to have a “Trusted” Mechanic and Auto Repair shop to rely on. My 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse was in desperate need of a lot of repair due to neglect during the pandemic. After talking to people and searching the internet, I chose to have her towed to Conejo Precision Auto Repair. I initially spoke with Tim, the Tech. who would do the work on my car. He was kind, personable, knowledgeable and went above & beyond to do everything that was needed at a very fair price. Starter motor, Brakes, Fluid, Valve cover gaskets, oil, Spark plug wires, Fixed my horn and even got me New tires (which I might add, they are not a tire shop). I picked up my car and met Max, the owner. Another great guy. Am I thrilled? You bet yer booties I am!! You know how they say, you can’t trust a mechanic? Especially if you’re a woman? Well, you can trust Tim and Max at Conejo Precision Auto Repair!
