We were on the Van Wyck coming out of JFK on our way home to Saratoga Springs when we blew a cooling system by-pass hose and dumped the coolant causing the engine to overheat. We stopped in Flushing, Queens and called the AAA to have the car towed upstate. They immediately dispatched a tow truck from Competition Auto Works. Someone from Competition called me within a few minutes saying they're on the way. The person calling apologetically explained that they did not have a driver available for a long distance tow and asked if they could pick up the car today and bring it to Saratoga tomorrow. Not having many options, I agreed and then reserved a rental car at LaGuardia. Several minutes later, the tow truck arrived and picked up the car. Our son, who lives in the area, picked us up and took us to the rental car location. The next day, the tow driver called me when he was 30 minutes out from my house so I could come home from work to meet him. He arrived when promised and unloaded the car. The drivers were professional and the equipment was top-notch. Very satisfied with their service. Thank you!
