They quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it right away
I was hearing a clunking noise when shifting. Chapman’s quickly found the problem and finished the repair right away. Friendly staff, neat and clean lobby and work area. Highly recommended.

Honest & Skilled Auto Repair in San Marcos, CA – Chapman’s Automotive
I can’t say enough good things about Chapman’s Automotive here in San Marcos, California. My grandma recommended them, and now I see why they’ve earned such a great reputation for being honest, family-owned mechanics who treat you like one of their own.

I recently brought in my 2006 Toyota Camry because my check engine light came on and I noticed smoke while driving at higher speeds. Their team did a thorough diagnostic inspection, found oil leaks from my valve cover gasket and timing chain tensioner, and explained everything in detail. They replaced my OE Denso spark plugs, installed a new valve cover gasket set with premium sealant, replaced the timing chain tensioner, and even topped off my coolant — all without unnecessary upselling.

They were transparent with pricing, provided fair rates for labor and parts, and made sure I understood exactly what was being done. I truly appreciate their quality customer service, attention to detail, and commitment to providing a real solution instead of a quick fix.

If you’re looking for reliable auto repair in San Marcos, whether it’s engine diagnostics, oil leak repair, or routine maintenance, Chapman’s Automotive is hands-down the place to go. They’re skilled, trustworthy, and care about keeping your car safe for the road.
