I took my truck in on Monday 07/21 just after lunch for exhaust leak. Got a call around 4:30 saying the left exhaust manifold is warped needs replacing. Quoted 740.00 I authorized the repair based on my trust for Chandler. I was told truck will be ready late Tuesday or possibly Wednesday. No calls/updates from shop. Went to shop late Wednesday afternoon. Found my truck outside and no repairs done. Went inside to get a repair status and was told… um we had to order a gasket and should be ready Thursday. Knowing the service advisor is just lied to me ( gasket would have been ordered on Monday) I did not call him out on the lie because there was a room full of customers. Thursday afternoon still no call from shop. Went to shop, found my truck outside. Opened hood of my truck and could see new gasket but no new exhaust manifold. Went inside asked for status of my repair. Was told um it’s all finished. Advisor says they replaced the left exhaust manifold and gasket. Quoted the bill is 830.00. ( almost 100.00 more the initially quoted )Ask him to come outside and show me the parts replaced. Then told him I already inspected my truck and exhaust manifold was not replaced. Advisor said it was a mistake and only had to remove the exhaust manifold to install new gasket. Charged me twice the book time to replace the gasket as well charged me for an additional gasket. (4 gaskets)
Lied about what is needed to repair my truck, lied about repair status, feel overcharged on final bill.
I will have to conduct my mechanical needs elsewhere and I can no longer recommend Chandlers to my customers for these reasons. Glad to help the service advisor up his commission for the week. Could have made more in the long run by just being honest.
