Brought truck in to diagnose and service transmission issue and some other general services.
First of all, the technicians could not duplicate the trans issue I was experiencing even though I left specific instructions. The trans has a delay when going from park to drive (first) when it’s cold/sitting for several hours. They could not duplicate the issue, so either they didn’t care, try, or follow instructions. The vehicle does the same thing now, it’s been doing it for months consistently. Zero value and diagnosis provided.
Second:
I asked what the price was to change the fluid and filter. I even explicitly stated, this is a 2020 Silverado 8spd and the exhaust and front member needs to be dropped. And the fluid is expensive/specific. If you’re price is $1,000 like cheverolet I will take it to another place that charges me $550 in the past. They said no it’s around $500. When they called me to go over my pricing, sure enough $1,000 for the trans fluid service alone. I reminded the individual of our conversation, they were apologetic and did what they could to lower price by couple hundred dollars, still more than I have had serviced elsewhere.
Lastly the oil % wasn’t reset (they did the oil too). And the Air pressure sensor in one of the tires was not fixed/missed. The truck has a slight vibration when idling now that it didn’t have before. Not sure what that’s all about.
