I went to Century Medical and Dental Center just for a normal routine checkup recently, then disaster happened.
Dr. Ramin Rayhan—Diplomat of American Dental Implant Association and Director of Department of Dentistry and Implant Surgery at Century Medical and Dental Center—drilled and destroyed four of my perfectly healthy teeth without any Informed consent for composite fillings He did the “cavities” fillings just to cheat Medicaid insurance and hurt me.
The result is my trauma and persistent excruciating pain. The left side of my face, and mouth, is still numb, a month after his injection for anesthetization of my mouth and gums. I am limited to only eating soup daily, due to the pain in the four teeth pain he damaged. I got my teeth x-rayed before his drilling and there was—as three other dentists who have reviewed the x-rays later, have pointed out—no evidence of cavities. None!
I had no pain in any of my teeth before his unnecessary drilling. The torturous pain I have now, is not only physical but also psychological. Indeed, he has pushed me into a deep depression and nightmare- the inevitable result of his abusive behavior and misconduct. Not to mention, the four teeth-identification numbers he claimed for medical insurance are different from the ones he drilled and ruined on purpose. Two of the teeth he drilled would have to go through root canals in near future because of his drilling so deep and nerves are throbbing! The bottom line is that for fraudulent profit, he harassed and abused me; more, he abused the trust I had in him as a certified and situated doctor.
So, I have no choice but to report the fraudulent dentistry he practices. Every person has a right to work for money and to make money, but not at the needless sacrifice of someone’s health, and not without any ethical or moral standard. Specifically, I strongly request the New York State Board of Regents, and the dental practices he works for, (Century Medical Dental in 827 11th Ave, New York, NY and Clock Tower Dental at 110 New Hyde Park Rd, Franklin Square, NY), to investigate the Dr. Rayhan for dental malpractice.
As for my own attempt to get satisfaction, I called the Century Medical Dental office multiple times to report the misconduct and tell of my continued excruciating pain caused by his malpractice. I was ignored. I also requested, as is my right, my medical records, and was again ignored – the equivalent to a refusal and a denial of my rights as a patient.
To begin with, I trusted this doctor because online there were many good reviews of him. But my experience with him was so at odds with those reviews that I am forced doubt their reliability. If others have had a similar experience, I urge you to publicize it and report. Thank you for reading my miserable true story.
