The shop supposedly rebuilt the Transmission and transfer case in 2017 or about 3200 miles ago of a 1989 Chevrolet K1500 4x4. I discovered that they did not replace the original Transmission mount when I took it to them for a check up on a vibration this past week. They said the vibration was caused by bad u-joints. The front u-joint on the drive shaft is bad according to the Mechanic I took it to this morning and it is obvious that the transmission mount (which looks like it is seriously deteriorating) was never replaced and should have been($20) part. The leaking seal on the transfer case is problematic since it should not be leaking(the original lasted 28 years). I now have serious doubts about the truth if they really rebuilt either one. I did have to take the truck back soon after it was allegedly rebuilt for an adjustment. I am not a happy camper since when I called Mike this morning he gave me a Bullshit story about how the mount and the seal just naturally disintegrated over the less that 4 years and 3200 miles. Horse manure. Shoddy workmanship is what occurred here plain and simple. He was not willing to make the mount and seal right which would have been the right thing to do. If he had I would have had them do the U-joint work etc. Sorry I took it to them. James...
