Scammy and unprofessional.
I made them aware earlier in the morning that I wanted to go through with purchasing a vehicle I had test drove days prior. They told me another party was coming later in the afternoon to look at the same vehicle and said I had to come in person or I could fill out an application and put a $500 deposit down for them to hold it for me. After an hour and a half of back and forth about this application I find out it’s an application about financing with them and they claimed they were going to send the information from the application to my credit union to make the process quicker. After reminding him that I already had an approval letter from my credit union, that I did not need to fill out a financing application, we agreed all he needed to do was write up my PA and send it to my credit union. He told me he’d get back to me in a half hour when he finished it. After I don’t hear back for over an hour for something that should have taken 30 minutes or less I call to see where we were at in the process only to be told that the car had just been sold to a second party in the midst of my purchase going through. He spent an hour and a half feeding me incorrect information that could’ve been used to just file and send through my PA, and then wasted another hour or more of my time after that. He admitted to writing my PA and having it in a folder on his desk but not sending it through to my credit union because the second party came in and was interested in buying it. Instead of telling the second party that a purchase was already in progress, they paused my PA and gave the second party the time to buy the vehicle. After talking to the manager I learned that my PA was never actually written after they took all my information, and that no one else was aware that I was in the process of trying to buy this vehicle. Manager apologized, said he understood my frustration, that he’d handle the situation internally and wanted to help me find a different vehicle. Unsure if the manager was being genuine or trying to do damage control. Don’t buy from this dealership.
