This vehicle had suspension problems that prevented the alignment from coming to specifications. There was no way for us (or any shop) to know this until the vehicle was placed on the alignment rack and the suspension angles were measured. We then notified the customer of our findings and provided a quote for the repairs, so he could make an informed decision to either proceed with or decline our recommendations. He declined. It's noteworthy that we provided the facts and a quote once we discovered this issue; we did NOT "try to charge more," as he stated. (There is a distinction between giving him the facts and a quote, so he can make a decision, and "charging more." Again, we didn't charge more for the alignment).
Edwardo, we're sorry for the situation with the suspension on your Dodge and for the less-than-pleasant experience you had at our shop. But, as our manager explained at the time, until we measured the alignment angles with our alignment machine, we had no way of knowing your car needed additional suspension repairs to correct the pulling and the off-center steering wheel. Please feel free to reach out if there's anything more we can do to earn your trust and satisfaction.
