Frustrating service dept. Misinformed multiple times
Service dept mazda was not a good experience. Came in with a check engine light on left with a check engine light on with a charge of 100$ for a part that wasn’t causing the problem. After the part change couldn’t fix it the things they told me were all over the place to the point it didn’t make sense . They tried to tell me they needed to rip the whole center console out of the inside of the vehicle at that point I was thinking no way you have no clue what’s wrong with it. So I took it to another Mazda dealer who looked at there notes and said they had no clue . They actually said if the part was change there is no way they would have not have saw the issue .In a half hr they found the issue and it was diagnosed. They suggested I’d ask budd Baer for a refund since they charged me for something that wasn’t causing the issue. The service manager made a lot of claims that I’m not in agreement with what the actual facts were and refused the refund of my 100$ . I also another time a few months earlier took it there for a basic oil change and the vehicle inspection mechanic reported my brakes were in very poor shape and needed repaired. I bought the brakes and took it to mechanic and he said who told you this you have still half the brake life or better on all ur brakes. Just disappointed the service dept also wouldn’t even give a call back but rather chose to handle thru email. I think that just further shows they couldn’t have a normal discussion on issues even if u don’t agree at least u discuss issues and not avoid them. Not sure of the exact dates. Paperwork is out in car.
