As a no-nonsense Texan and member of Consumer Affairs, I thought long gone were the days when you could simply shake a man's hand, know he was gonna do what he said he was gonna do, and not try to pull a scam on you.
Trey over at Bowen Automotive not only fixed my Lincoln Aviator, but it now runs like a completely different vehicle!!!
I'd taken this same vehicle to Christian Brothers Automotive and to Action Auto Electric Service, and in both cases they kept my truck for days for a "diagnostic check", i.e. FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! In the case of Christian Brothers, I was told that they couldn't find what was wrong; and Action Auto charged me over $100, gave me a laundry list of things that was supposedly wrong with it, and advised me to get rid of it, because I'd end up spending thousands upon thousands.
My wife somehow found Bowen Automotive, and it was quick (5 hours), to the point (ignition coils), and at a very very reasonable price.
Trey is now my mechanic for me and my wife's personal and business vehicles.
Those other places can keep their plushy chairs, art on the walls, "complimentary" gourmet coffee, and high prices..... I'll take a well running SUV instead.
