The parts and labor were unfairly high. The mark up on parts was 100% or more. Wiper blades that can be bought nearby for under $30 each cost me $64.88 each plus $46.40 labor to install, about a 5 minute task. They post labor charges at $145 per hour. That should have been about $12 in labor.
To complete inspection I needed a fuel vapor canister that retails nearby for $439. Bobs sent me a quote of $904.30 plus $94.25 in labor. Then sent a second quote for $786.63 plus labor. Finally after I told Jen the price I found nearby for the exact same part, she changed me $550 plus labor.
I got a AAA battery for $239.99 but was charged $78.30 to install.
A $13 fuel cap cost $25.19.
$145 for diagnostics and $145 to change 4 tires that I brought with me.
Lastly, I paid $217 to remove and replace a flange holding up my exhaust. The next day I found my tailpipe hanging down. My husband had to wire it up till we could get back and have it fixed correctly.
This is a AAA certified service station!!
I will pass this complaint on to AAA and never do business with Bobs Service Center again.
