This situation is difficult and the loss you have experienced harsh, no doubt. We are caring and contientious people and business owners, who take responsibilty when its ours, and lots of times when it's not. That being said, I feel it necessary to point out that just because your vehicle is towed here for no start, after sitting up for no telling how long - possibly having chewed wiring from squirrels/mice,deterioration and a miriad of other things- does not make us responsible for every single part or every single system incorporated in the running of this vehicle. Yes, we worked on the fuel pump in the fuel tank as we discussed with you. This got the vehicle running, yes, we checked the vehicle over , changed the oil and filter, and drove it several times to trouble shoot for any other symptoms or potential issues presenting themselves. None arose . This is reasonable service for reasonable expectations. Yes, you asked about washing the windows , we decided to wait until you got here due to all the pollen.. but of course, we were very busy that day and it wasn't done before you left. The fire deptatment cannot speak to who you may have spoke to indicating our responsibility in the fire, only that the fire occured under the dash at the hood to engine compartment (the front of the vehicle, nowhere close to the areas we worked on, or changed components.
All this being established, this unforseen situation is just that. Unforseen. We drove it, we tested it, with no issues showing themselves, because we would have been happy to address them.. We have been nothing but open, honest and responsive to you and this unfortunate situation, and we will continue to be. You are welcome to contact us at any time.
