Coolant system repairs
I would highly recommend this business!! I went in because of a check engine light alert. They made repairs to my coolant system and my car is running great. They are friendly, do quality work and they get your car back quickly. I felt they went above and beyond to answer any questions I had and talk through concerns and processes. This means a lot to me because as a woman that is unfamiliar with cars, I feel I can trust them with their recommendations completely. I would confidently bring my car back here for any repairs needed in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone!!

Back on the road thanks to Carlos
My VW van broke down on the highway. Towed to Berkeley Auto Service. Carlos diagnosed the problem, ordered parts and had it ready in 2 business days -- not always the case with a 1995. Happy to know that Berkeley Auto Service is nearby.

Easy fast oil change
Great service! I had to come at the end of the day and they fit me in no problem. The oil change was fast and thorough and for a competitive price. They let me know about an issue with my car that they noticed during the oil change which I found helpful. Going to bring it back for repairs.

Great service, good prices, and fast turn around!
I brought my card to Berkeley Auto Service in the morning because the window wouldn't roll up. Driving around like that was miserable and made the car unsafe to leave parked on the street. I asked if they could fix it in a day and they did! The work was done well and at a good price. I couldn't ask for more!

Wonderful shop
Completely impressed with this mechanics shop. I do not often write reviews but in this case a lovely and glowing review is quite in order. I had not been to this shop before and literally dropped in with mechanical symptoms that that had me reluctant to put the rest of the day’s mileage on. Hearing my concerns, they immediately put her up on the rack to investigate. They showed me exactly what was up with her and repaired her the same day, seeing as I would have to travel some distance to fetch her back. Warm, personable, and knowledgeable... answered questions concisely and with completeness. The shop is immaculate. A very refreshing experience and I will definitely return and highly recommend.

Look no further - some of the most bad-assed mechanics in the SF Bay Area are here
I am a long-standing, 25 year old customer, who harkens back to the Roger and Dan eras. Carlos is keeping this establishment in the family, so cultural integrity is assured.

On top of the fact that this place has some of the most bad-assed mechanics in the SF East Bay, hell, SF Bay Area, they also have a heart and soul, and take platinum care of their customers. If TLC for your car is important come here. You get what you pay for--honesty, transparency, quality, professional care. Look no further.

I miss Roger, but these guys might be a good switch
I think the review was thorough and the advice was fair. I have no idea why you wrote "25,000" miles for my car which has 150,000 miles on it.
