Charges for supplies not used

I had a wheel alignment done and the mechanic would not talk to me or my husband. Which is very rude. After I paid I noticed a charge for supplies so I asked the girl at the counter about this. She said it was for "shop supplies". I told her no supplies are needed to do an alignment ie: fluids, filters, towels. She said everyone gets this charge because they used a wrench. So I argued and told her those are the things shops are supposed to have to do the job that's why I pay for the actual service with labor included. I have never had a shop do this. I will never return.

Tire patch and plug

I took my truck in to have a screw removed from the tire and to have the tire patched and plugged. The work was done and I paid the $19.85 repair bill and left. Later I noticed that the TPM was still indicating low tire pressure. When I returned I home I inspected the wheel and noticed an aftermarket sensor valve in the wheel. A day of so later I returned to Barker Tire Pros and questioned why I there was an aftermarket valve installed. I didn't get and answer, but the manager came out and gave me some song and dance about Toyota's were finicky about syncing with aftermarket valves and that I should drive the truck and eventually it would sync. It did not and I took the truck to Ramey Toyota. They attempted to sync the valve, but to no avail. They ordered a Toyota TPS at a cost of $95 plus labor of $109and tax. I still question how my original valve was damaged and why it why not disclosed when I picked up my truck at Barker's.

advise taking business elsewhere

I took 2 tires and wheels here to have mounted and balanced. For one, they charged me 2 hours labor time! It was $60! Also, I dropped the wheels off @ 8:30 am and they wasn’t ready until almost 6:00 pm. For two, they cracked my wheel around all 5 spokes!! Didn’t say a word about it. I got ready to install them on car the next day, and both tires was flat as can be. Got to inspecting them, and noticed a crack. After further inspection, there is a crack around every spoke of the wheel!!! I am furious at this company! Trash! TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!

Dates

The last date that someone gave a good post was back in 2016. The 5 star you see is funny. By the way Barker has the place no longer. To bad when he sold the place his name is still there.

Totally untrustworthy

Took our truck in for an inspection and was told it needed almost 1,000 worth of work with ball joints and alignment. Picked up the truck and took it to another shop where 3 independent mechanics said the ball joints were in perfect shape. So much for the Bible verses at Barker Tire Pro. Stay away at all costs as this isn't the first bad experience there.

Nope!

Let’s just say unprofessional mgr to say the
Least! The girls up front are very kind always but been going there for all my business and the mgr kept talking over me on the phone and wouldn’t hear me out and I’m just appalled at how I was treated and will never go back , that’s sad because I will miss those ladies, and some of the mechanics because it’s not their fault . Wish I could throw my tires back at them , and get refunded ! And the $1,000 worth of labor . What a horrible way to treat a regular customer !

Terrible service
I went to have my car aligned (Just put new tires on). Two (2) hours later car was done paid $79.34 and left. The next day went to Beckley VA. Going at speed on turns to left or right the car had what I call a DEATH WOBBLE in the steering. Went back the next day they had it this time for four (4) hours. I had a short talk with the mechanic well not so short. Went home now the car has a shimmy in the steering. NEVER GOING BACK. I have been going to Barker’s for over 29 years for tires and service.
TO BAD JACKIE SOLD OUT !

Terrible service

My daughter went in yesterday to have her car aligned before I put her four new tires on. The service guy told her she needed tie rod ends, which she most definitely did not. They kept trying to sell her tires even when she told them she already had her uncle picking them up that day. They wanted to charge her $180.00 for a service that is normally around $50. On top of all of this, they cross-threaded a wheel stud that I had to replace today and still charged her $35.00 “just to look at it!” Terrible service, our family will not go back and we also won’t recommend to anyone!

Will Never Go Back!!

Went in for an inspection sticker An They made me get tires, got the tires, lifetime warranty which is actually a year An alignment. An 6 months later my front tires went bald An they wuld not honor my warranty

Trusted...

Not only was someone looking out for the safety of family members this morning they were also directing them to the right place to get them back on the road to Fl. I want to thank the staff at Barker Tire Pro for receiving my daughter, her friend and my grandchildren with great service and kind hearts. Thanks to Charlie and the staff..

slow service

I have been waiting over an hour just for an oil change. I went to counter to get my keys to go somewhere else and all of a sudden they are taking my car back. I will never go back again.

I felt they didnt stand behind there work.

Not a good experience. Got brakes and rotors put on truck 5/15/15. Kept smelling brakes burning. Went back on 5/17/15. They told me it was caliper sticking and need to replace. Gonna cost me more money. Told them didn't feel it was my fault I shouldn't have to pay for it. Told them to put wheel back on. Took to another garage. Calipers not sticking, brakes was jammed in cooked and grabbing when hit brakes. Thanks Barkers for lieing to me. I will not be back ever again .
