I have been a customer for a long time. My experience today is one of the worst experiences I’ve had with any business in a very long time! I scheduled an appointment in advance to have my alternator checked. I arrived at the appointed time expecting that they would do the diagnostics while I waited since they are the ones who picked the time for me to be there. Nope. 40 minutes later my vehicle was still in the spot where I parked it. All the while there was a person out along the street with a sign saying, no waiting for an oil change. Doesn’t sound all that busy to me. An hour and 40 minutes later I got a call that they were done and my alternator tested fine. So I got a ride back to Auto Smart where I was met with a bill for $191.34. WHAT!!! Just to do the diagnosis??? Had I had any idea that it would cost that much (or anything) for them to do a simple diagnostic test, I would have gone elsewhere. I am furious about 1) the poor time management, and 2) the cost for doing virtually nothing!
