Scammers with No Scrupples
I’m not sure if this is allowed but I wanted to make sure it’s known who Allen Turner Hyundai is.

This is a review I wrote which explains. I also added pictures as proof.

My wife had her Sonata towed to the dealership for a recall after the motor seized up. We got the car back and the radio no longer worked, nor did the AC. After only making it 40 miles after the replacement they then claimed we needed $1200 for a loose idler pulley, MAP sensor, In Cabin Filter, Claimed it was idling roughly, Not enough power etc. They claimed it was showing error codes to prove this.
We asked over and over again as to why if these parts needed to be replaced why weren’t we asked while they had the car and it already apart. They couldn’t give a reason. We tried escalating this ordeal through Hyundai Customer service. Allen Turner kept our car for 2 weeks and wouldn’t fix it unless we gave them $1200. We decided that the whole ordeal with Allen Turner left a horrible taste in our mouths. We called a tow service to go and get the car and take it to another service center. They would not release the car without paying them for their diagnosis check of $200. Once we were forced to pay them the car was hauled to Fishers on Creighton Road who determined they had overfilled the oil by 2 quarts which they and online says causes the lack of power and running rough. Fishers also had to charge the AC system as Allen Turner did not and that cost us more money. Not including Ubers, missed work etc, we are out $650.
I’d left a review here on Google on was advised to call and speak with Barry. He won’t acknowledge the fact they caused all this and won’t admit they overfilled the oil. The car was never in our possession and went straight to Fishers. Fishers invoice CLEARLY states the oil was 2 quarts to full. After speaking with Barry and him actually seeing the Fishers receipt he still denied any accountability. Barry was very rude on the phone, when I tried talking he would talk over me even when I asked him to let me speak. He did agree to cover the charge for them to release the car to the wrecker which was $200. However all of this was caused by Allen Turner Hyundai. If I ever acted as Barry did in any sort of capacity at a job I’d have been fired. I am going to continue escalating this, by calling all managers and customer service repeatedly till they do the right thing. If they choose not to do what’s right, I shall then be turning this over to our attorney and asking for far more in damages, time lost, and all the extra money that had to be laid in lieu of them keeping our car by lying saying it needed all these things for the other shop to find no codes, nothing wrong with anything they claimed. The only things they found wrong was the oil being 2 quarts high and AT didn’t recharge the AC when they broke it free from the engine. Barry also tried telling me they never had to disconnect the AC to remove the motor. That is simply another lie. Anyone can google and find that to be a completely fabricated response. Barry has no business being in a job where he has to interact with people. He lacks self control of his mouth, he is rude, he’s unhelpful, he talked over not only I but my wife too. He had his mind made up on what course of action he was willing to take and refused to hear the logic as to why we are owed more. If I could leave a zero score I would.

Everyone do themselves a favor and avoid this dealership’s service center as they seemingly have a lack of understanding of what being a mechanic is. These a scammers. Always get a second opinion.

BTW, Fishers bill was only $345. And they fixed the radio and AC. We had them do a few more things too.

If the engine wouldn’t have been a recall we would have just gone to Fishers first.

I attached the receipt from Fishers that CLEARLY states the oil was 2 quarts to high and the fact of all the supposed error codes were not present when they ran a diagnostic check. The items were also visually fine.

Allen Turner Hyundai but more aimed at BARRY.
You guys need to get your stuff together because you’re doing people wrong, scamming and lying to your customers!

I await a response from someone other than Barry as he has proven to be a clueless child.
