Honest Review After 7 Months of Frustration – Grateful for All in 1 Auto Repair
Back in December, a so-called mechanic replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the throttle body in my 22-year-old Nissan Altima. Immediately after, my car began acting up. The RPMs were constantly too high — between 1500 and 2000, instead of the recommended 800. The brakes (which were brand new) started feeling unreliable, and I suddenly found myself spending twice as much on gas each week.
That mechanic eventually purchased a new throttle body but kept delaying the installation. Meanwhile, my car was only getting worse. So I took it to another mechanic in Boynton Beach. Mechanic #2 installed the new throttle body — but failed to recalibrate it, which is necessary. I had to bring the car back. They tried recalibrating, but it didn’t work, and they vaguely suggested I take it to the dealership because it “might be an electrical issue.” No clear explanation was given, and their attitude was less than welcoming. I left confused — and worse off than before. To top it off, I noticed a strong gasoline smell and started experiencing issues with the ignition switch.
Mechanic #3 in Lake Worth told me the new throttle body was defective. He replaced it with a used one from a similar car and recalibrated it. The RPMs then dropped too low, and the car began jerking while idling — especially when the A/C was on. He also tried to fix the gas smell, assuming it was an oil leak, but the smell never went away. I drove like that for five months. The fumes made me nauseous, gave me headaches, irritated my lungs, and left me vulnerable to colds.
Finally, I went to mechanic #4 in West Palm Beach. He discovered the real issue: a broken gas pump and a gas leak beneath the back seat. Replacing the pump also resolved the ignition switch problem. He found that mechanic #1 had replaced the spark plugs with the “wrong and cheapest” ones out there”, his words. He also replaced a glued-on throttle body gasket (thanks to mechanic #3), all four fuel injectors, and one ignition coil. The car improved — but it still jerked and sometimes stalled. This mechanic seemed skilled, but he admitted he was out of ideas. With no helpful error codes and guesses pointing to a faulty computer, I was at a dead end.
After spending over $1,000 in seven months, my car just kept getting worse. I was losing hope. Driving with no A/C in this brutally hot summer only made things worse. I was beyond frustrated and just prayed for an honest, competent mechanic.
Back in January, a friend had recommended All in 1 Auto Repair, but I didn’t go right away. I now regret not bringing my car to them sooner. I finally gave them a shot before surrendering to the dealership. They quickly diagnosed the real issues and fixed it at a fair price. The car runs great now.
Their diagnostic tools and skills clearly set them apart from all the others.
They’re honest, polite, and genuinely go above and beyond.
I’m incredibly grateful to Eric and his team. If you’re struggling to find someone you can trust with your car, look no further. Highly recommended!
