Long wait
It took more than 4 months to get my car fixed.

I do realize that it took far to long to complete the repair however the diagnostics took quite some time (about a month to finally track down the intermittent electrical issue) and the rest really fell on the shoulders of BMW. These are the actual emails back and forth between the dealership and myself:

My apologies.
There was one left in country when I ordered it.  For what ever reason, we did not secure that one.  
This is coming from Germany.  We are two weeks in at this point, so could come any day, up to 4-6 weeks.

Great Experience
Customer service is outstanding. Always very accommodating with my schedule and engaged when conversing. As a female some shops tend to dismiss thoughts however I can share information, pictures, and technical service reports with confidence that I will be listened to. The work is exceptional with a pictured report, a great thing when the car is still under warranty. Always a pleasure, thanks

Quick service.
Routine maintenance done by noon. Also had the sunroof tracks and drains blown out due to leaks, and so far so good. Thanks guys!

Very accommodating and competent
The heater went out on our truck, right in time for winter...and there wasn't anyone on POW who could fix it. Several community members mentioned a few shops in Ketchikan, including All American Auto, so I gave them a call. Frank answered the phone and was very polite and willing to really listen to what we needed.

This initial interaction was what convinced me to give them a try. I had just hung up with a different shop in Ketchikan and the guy that answered the phone was super patronizing...an attitude that I, as a woman, tend to get at times when dealing with auto shops or parts stores (even though I am very competent when it comes to working on vehicles!). Frank talked to me like a human being; he was professional and polite.

Frank said that they could do the work and try their best to complete it before the Thanksgiving holiday since we were coming over from POW. True to his word, they did. The truck heater is working again and we are very satisfied with the quality of the work completed, as well as the service experience. Everyone was great!
