Terrible new owners
Extremely obvious disconnected air intake parts, electrical connectors and cracked plastic were not noticed during diagnostic. Didn’t even open the hood. Family has been going here for almost 15 years and we will never go again

Didn’t solve my problem, surprise charges.
The shop didn’t work on my car’s issues regarding consuming the battery while off. Was charged for assessment and towing. Was told about an issue in an area that had previous been worked on there, and the shop was unable to tell me why there was a power steering hose issue, while the power steering system was replaced by this very shop not long ago.

Questionable work
They did work 15 months ago and yesterday quoted the same work again. Supposedly inspected the car and replaced $3000 worth of parts. Did a front end alignment and the wheel fell off in a parking lot 4 weeks later because it was rusted out!

Experience was ok
My experience was ok, I walked in and wasn’t greeted at all so I asked if they were available for an inspection and the answer was yes and they just needed keys and registration. I then asked how long would the wait be and the guy said he will ask and get back to me and he did not ask or come back he started to do something else… therefore someone else asked me what I needed and I proceed with the same question how long would the wait be and this man stood there and looked around the shop and said there’s 2 ppl in-front of you instead of telling me a time frame. Another young lady came in right after me with the same question and she was greeted, told her wait would be 15-20 mins and that there was snacks and refreshments available. I find that they choose who they wanted to greet and give good customer service to. The service of the car was pretty fast but I would only go back if it’s my last option available. Hyde park Akiki employees are rude.

I only got a computer diagnosis of my car.
The diagnostic results confirm my opinion that the car was no longer worthy of repair. It was 18 years old, used when I bought it and it had reached its end.

Lots of Jacked Up Cost
Work is good, people are good, communication is good, but the diagnostic fee and labor charges are really high. Feels like premium pricing for good but otherwise unremarkable service. And prices have increased over the last few years, too.
