I work just around the corner from the shop, and from the very beginning they went above and beyond. Instead of telling me I needed to arrange a tow, Rob (I hope I have his name right!) actually walked over to my work, jumped my car, and brought it to the shop to diagnose the problem. They even took it back and forth twice, and I don’t think they charged me for any of that. Most shops would have required a tow, which can be expensive if you don’t have roadside assistance or AAA.
They diagnosed the issue quickly (it’s a long story!), and Rob personally kept me updated every step of the way. Rather than making me call for updates, he walked over to my workplace to explain everything that was going on. He also let me know they could complete the repair the very same day, which is something I’ve never experienced with a mechanic—especially not at a dealership.
I wasn’t able to move forward with the repair that first day, so Rob jumped my car again and brought it back to my work. When I was ready to have the repair done, he came back, jumped it once more, took it to the shop, fixed it while I was working, and then returned it to me when everything was finished. I never even had to leave work to drop it off or pick it up.
On top of that, I had questions about my battery. I had just replaced it about three weeks earlier and wasn’t sure if I would need another one. Since it was still under warranty, Josh—who I spoke with several times on the phone throughout this whole process—offered to call the store where I bought it, arrange for the warranty replacement if needed, and have the battery brought directly to Ace Auto & Tire so they could install it. That level of customer service is incredibly rare.
Thank you to everyone at Ace Auto & Tire, and especially to Josh and Rob, for your professionalism, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile. You made what could have been a very stressful situation so much easier. Hopefully I won’t need any more car repairs anytime soon, but if I do, I know exactly who I’ll be calling. I highly recommend Ace Auto & Tire!
