Excellent customer service and professional technicians
Our furnace stopped working. We have had a home warranty with Homegard for three years because of the
great service. I called the office and they sent a service tech from a local HVAC company to diagnose the problem. He determined the parts that would need to be replaced and gave us a price for the repairs. Later Corrie from Homegard called to say we could have the old furnace repaired or use the money to replace the unit. Given that our furnace is almost 20 years old, we decided to replace it. While it was being replaced, and because it is a downdraft unit they tested the AC to be sure it was working properly. They discovered the compressor was not operating. I contacted Jennifer and Emily at Homegard and they were both super kind. They said to have the HVAC company write up the issues and they would submit them to claims quickly. I received a call back an hour later with an approval to apply a portion of the repair cost to a new unit. Given that the AC was even older than the furnace, and required removing the furnace to replace it(It’s a downdraft), it made more sense to replace it. Although this cost much more, we appreciate the payment Homegard is making to offset the cost a bit. The service that Corrie, Jennifer and Emily provided was fast and fair. This is a honest home warranty company that cares about providing good customer service. This is our third year with Homegard and we will continue purchasing the Warrenty each year.
