Purchased 5 months ago and already in the shop twice

My last 2024 Tucson was declared a "lemon" by Hyundai, with so many issues, and I now regret getting another one. This 2025 I've had for 5 months has been back to the service department for different issues.

Don't buy if you ever drive while wearing sunglasses

Great vehicle absolutely let down by driver's assistance systems that are monitored by facial recognition that can be completely defeated by wearing sunglasses while driving which is something most of us do while driving during the day. Enjoy using cruise control? You won't when your vehicle screams at you that you are not looking at the road and turns it off. Want to use lane keeping? Forget even trying if you are wearing sunglasses as this terrible system can bring car to a full stop on the highway which is such an issue that no one should ever drive with it on.

Hyundai: Number One

The best engineered, quietest and most drivable vehicle I have ever owned. Environmentally friendly, comfortable, long range, quite superior to the Tesla Y I previously owned. GPS is quite easy to use. Love this vehicle!

Love this car, but only 4 stars due to electrical problems in the first 30 days. Turned out that some connections were loose. That is on the manufacturer, not the dealer

Disappointment with the Digital Cluster & Head-Up Display

Since purchasing this vehicle in July 2025, I've had to return to the dealership five times so far to repair electrical problems with the digital gage cluster & heads-up display. It appears that the gage cluster is faulty, as it goes black or displays 'No Signal', displays all the warning, diagnostics & vehicle system lights (such as 'parking brake'), all while the car is being driven. The heads-up display turns on & off randomly also while the car is in operation. The blindspot monitoring often gives warnings when there are no other vehicles in my blindspot or next to me. On one occasion, the car was taken in & checked by the dealership for an entire day, but to date they have failed to correct these problems.

ALMOST 5 Stars

We got our new Tucson Hybrid Limited June 1. We already have over 10,000 miles on it. What we love - 1 - Quiet, very comfortable ride. We traded in a 2015 Avalon for the Tucson, so we know comfortable ride.. 2 - Very comfortable and classy interior. 3 - Lots of room for everything when we travel. 4 - BlueLink 5 - The exterior design is growing on us. Neutral right now, moving to, "Oh, I actually like it." What we don't like - 1 - it is almost impossible to position the front middle vents in a way that let's the air flow without blowing directly on someone. Can't go high enough, can't go in between. You have to shut the vents altogether to keep from getting too cold or too hot. 2 - The Dictator eye spy. The small camera that monitors your eyes to be able to let you know that your eyes have wandered, maybe a bit, maybe you should rest, OK WE"RE SHUTTING THIS WHOLE THING DOWN IF YOU DON'T LET US SEE YOUR EYES!!!! Mirrored sunglasses? Yeah, try that. (Angry emoji!) 3 - Hybrid gas milage no where near advertised. We are not heavy footed drivers. We got great milage in our Avalon Hybrid. Not so here. Always at least 2-3 MPG less than what the computer says we got, and even that is pretty miserable milage. 5 - Maybe it was the learning curve (ours or the car's) but early on we are still somewhat mystified by the uses and differences of - Highway Driving Assist (HDA), Lane Following Assist (LFA), and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA). We haven't had it happen for a bit, but early on when using one of these items the car would suddenly and very abruptly swerve to or away from something. Disconcerting to say the least. 4 - Given these few frustrations, we still like the car, a lot.

Sleek styling and fun to drive except for the collision warnings

I love most everything about the car. The only 2 drawbacks that come to mind are the color and the collision warning system. Most of the time the warning go off I'm nowhere near a car. The one time it slammed on the breaks I'm lucky I wasn't rear ended. It's the only time I get mad at the car, and I'm half tempted to turn off the feature altogether. The problem is have with the color is I'd like to slap the person that thought a blue so dark it might as well be black can still be called blue. Why wouldn't you offer an actual shade of blue? The color on your site is more blue than it actually is, so that's a bit of false advertising as well. I bought the car without seeing the blue in person, or I might not have bought it.
