Great mid sized SUV

2025 Tucson Hybrid - So Far It is Great

Bought the 2025 Tuscon Hybrid in July 2025. It replaced a top of the line Chrysler Pacifica minivan, and we had driven Chrysler minivans for over 30 years. It has all of the safety and convenience features we wanted at a price that was significantly less that its competitors. Overall we are very happy with the car. We are especially pleased with the local MPG, but somewhat disappointed with the long-distance high speed highway MPG. So far we've taken only 1 long trip (Dallas to Chicago) but expect to take that trip at least a couple of times each year. The long distance high speed highway MPG was not really better that what we got from the Pacifica minivans. The other concern are the extremely small and dim lights on the climate control panel. The lights are very easy to see at night, but nearly impossible to see in bright daylight. The lights need to be a little bigger and brighter for daylight.

Not happy

Vehicle is not intuitive. Very steep learning curve for tech items. Gas mileage is good but that is the main highlight. Ride is fairly comfortable.

Much good about this vehicle but don’t like the gear shift on the column. Harder to be sure what gear you’re in. Much better as a stick shift on the center console.

One of the best car I've owned so far

Most of the features and functions perform above average. The engine provide sufficient power and relatively quiet for this SUV class. The Blue-Link app adds an extra layer of convenience, though I wish it offered a bit more. My main issue is with the door lock/unlock sequence, which works inconsistently at times. Overall, the operation isn’t as straightforward as in my previous car, the Hyundai Sonata. Another point is the dashboard software: it requires the driver to select a profile and then use a password or fingerprint to activate it. This seems like an unnecessary extra step. If the driver can already use a fingerprint to unlock the car, the system should automatically recognize the correct profile and eliminate the need to select it manually. Streamlining this process would save time and make the experience more intuitive. Also, I wish the LED light of the lower control panel (control for air-conditioning, heater .. etc) should be brighter, it is hard to tell if the function is on or not at day time. Lastly, the features buttons on the center console should be moved to the lower control panel area to avoid accidental trigger of function that may hurt the car. (e.g. AWD Lock)
